1. Nowadays doctors and health specialists say that children need to be on a good diet and get all the nutrition that they need but as the reports show, the obesity rate increases in children which causes hypertension at early age. Since we really take good care of our children at early age, why is the obesity rate is keep increasing?

Im enjoying the answers thus far Im not sure I want to be a phy ed teacher incolving all the hassles of teaching(though its a noble profession) and Im not sure I want to be behind a desk sorting statistics all day and having boring interminable meetings..I guess Im looking for a mix of people contact AND being able to formulate and implement ideas for the "big picture"

I’m doing an essay on it… I need ideas to reduce obesity in America, for example one would be teaching nutrition in high school, and would reduce obesity since students would be aware of what they are putting in their mouths.

What role does nutrition play in how we assess, treat, and prevent obesity in children and adolescents in our society? (the word society got cut off in the question)
